Don't be hard on yourself. If it doesn't work the first time, keep trying.

Hi, I'm writing to you in the hope that your profile target weight is a typing error!!! I know I'm a lot older than you and I realise I am not in any way in your peer group but I am really concerned about the weight you have put as your target weight. I won't insult your intelligence by telling you what you should do, weigh, like, dislike, etc but I am genuinely concerned at the weight you say you want to achieve as it is so low it could make you seriously ill or worse, not to mention very unhappy. I'm not an expert, a psychologist or anything in that realm but I am genuinely concerned about what you have set as your goal. We are all here to support each other to be healthier. Please be kind to yourself. Best wishes, Karen

hi nieshka, firstly I totally agree with Kp2605. I notice on your profile you said you wanted to reach 90 lbs that is 6.2 stone, that weight would be ok if you were 2 foot tall. You said that you wanted to fitter and healthier, trust me when I say this, because this is what I do for a living IT AINT GONNA HAPPEN. You will find that you will become susceptible to every virus knocking around especially colds, you body wont be fit enough to fit of infections. My wif is 7.2 stone, this has been her weight for years, it is a natural weight for her as she doesn't diet, but yet she can eat chocolate, ice cream etc (don't you just hate her) and she struggles when she gets a cold, it takes ages for her to shrug it off. As you get fitter you body will change and adapt, you will lose a few pounds without having to decrease you food intake, to help you rech your goal of being fitter and healthier check out what foods you eat and make altertions to eat foods that are better for you. from your profile photo you look a very confident and pretty young woman. you don't need to lpse that much. By the way you havnt failed to change your lifestyle you have just put it on hold. Good luck

I am also very concerned about your target weight. Everyone who uses fatsecret wants the best for each other and that is to achieve a safe and healthy weight and a more positive outlook on life, to improve ourselves both physically and emotionally. My name is Lynn and I'm an ex-nurse so if you want to get in touch you are more than welcome. And in Karen's words above: Please be kind to yourself.

Awww, thanks for the concern everyone, but I am super short! 90 lbs would be on the lower spectrum, but still at a healthy BMI :)

Well, we all think you're super special so we'll be backing you all the way... we all understand the pressure that being overweight causes from how you feel in yourself to how other people view you... or even worse, don't seem to even see you at all. It can be a roller coaster and if you have any concerns, worries or you just want a chat or advice, we're all here supporting each other. There are a lot of really good people on here from all different walks of life with all sorts of knowledge and experience. The advice and support I've had from this site has been priceless. My only advice is to be honest with yourself and if you're struggling, shout up, don't hide away. Karen x

completely understand where you are coming from. I'm finding the NHS weight loss programme (it's free google it) really good and logging all foods here online and in my diary. You'll get there.
