Finally! I met my first weight goal of 189. Today I set my new goal for 179.

Since I set my first goal ...many months ago... I have been looking into food. It's nutritional value and different ways to prepare and mostly how to eat healthier. Truth is anything would be healthier than what I was doing. I am enjoying the journey and I have not been denying myself.

Key is moderation. Portion control. Focus on healthy often vegetarian/vegan foods at home and eating mostly what I like when eating out...in moderation and mostly healthy when possible. I do share that piece of decadent chocolate cake or even McDonald's French Fries.

It has been slow getting to this point but I am happy with the results and excited about ongoing progress.

Sharing is a great way to cut into the calories when you're having a treat! I also find that getting the kid-sized burger and the "value menu" sizes of things like French Fries helps a lot. CONGRATULATIONS! Best wishes!
