Analysing what's going on has helped me to realise that I am not able to focus on controlling what I eat because I am too busy controlling (or trying to control) all the outside challenges connected to work. In other words there is too much pressure on me from other things and I am not taking care of myself.

I have 34 days in which to make a big difference and get myself into better shape. That's the challenge I have set myself this morning. Now that can't be too difficult, can it.

Going back to carb counting because low carb means I'm not hungry and if I'm bored or stressed I can easily find something to put in my gob.

what are your quick snacks for low carbing?

I've stocked up with eggs, cheddar, chevre and cream cheese, celery, avocado and I also make microwave cake (with ground almonds, fat, eggs and cream) to nibble on. I can't have nuts or peanut butter in because I have no self control where nuts and PB are concerned. I also don't eat processed cheese, pastes, bacon or meats (nitrates), which is a little limiting.

think i'm the only paleo-er in the world that can't stand avocado!! the stuff makes me heave. my down fall is strawberries (dip em in coconut cream yummy) and malted milk biscuits (son always has a stash!!). keeping my carbs around the 80gs a day mark seems to be the way to go for my weight maintenance so i have allowed in a bit more fruit. fruit salad, nuts and seeds with a bit of coconut milk on in morning keeps me full till lunch
