I have my last summer class today! It's been a grueling session and I'm glad its over, but I must admit, I'll miss my classmates, most of whom are off to their internships.
It's a bittersweet moment also because I had expected to weigh considerably less by this point. Unfortunately, school, work and a demanding household have made exercise the lowest item on my priority list, though it's always on my mind.
The good news is that I went for a run yesterday. I walked/ran 5k in 28 minutes. Not great time but it's definitely an accomplishment considering I hadn't hit the treadmill in nearly a month. It felt great, ESPECIALLY because I thought, for the longest time, I was running kilometers, not miles! I had the surprize of my life, when getting off of the treadmill and looking at my Nike + ipod nano, I'd in fact done 60% more than I'd initially expected!! I'm feeling it now, though. My thighs are burning and I'm having a hard time bending down to shelves books. It's a good feeling though. I can't wait to go do it all over again tomorrow.
