This holiday is throwing off my routine. I've been busy going to parties and cooking and haven't exercised since Friday. I have to act like today is any other Monday and not a day off. I can't go swimming, nor lift weights cause my gym is closed for the holiday. I did however get up early and go get my Atkins shakes and strawberries, as that is what I'm now used to eating for breakfast. I'm going to have a healthy lunch, and dinner will be at a BBQ. As long as I stick to what I bring and meats, I should be fine, but temptations will surround me. Gained a pound yesterday, but I didn't exactly eat well. I didn't go off plan per se, but didn't eat enough veggies, and ate dinner between naps. I had low carb bread and some potatoes, so I'm not sure which caused the gain. It could be a gain just because it's that TOM or because i was hung over as well. No way of telling, but I won't be eating bread or potatoes today. Not making my mini-goal of 150 today. Kinda bummed about that, but I will get there in the next week (if I don't stall). Even though I've done Atkins before I picked up the book yesterday as a refresher for me (and I plan of giving it to my boss cause I need her healthy!). Seems I could have started adding potatoes back at the same time as I added peas and carrots back, but I'm not sure 1/4 cup of potatoes would really be enough. That was like 2 bites of my mom's potato salad and that's not really enough. I've skipped over adding beans (legumes) back as well, cause I'm not a huge eater of beans. The only beans I like are in Mexican food (which i've eaten a few times over the last few months). Next foods to add back into the diet are more fruits like apples, grapes and peaches, 1/3 of bananas and more strawberries (till the season is over). Fruit is great as breakfast as long as I also eat some fats.
