So I'm not weighing in this morning because I'm not feeling it given how late we ate and drank. But I'm back on course with breakfast. Fire in the fireplace, raining cats and dogs outside, cats and dogs inside the house and Chance already broke his resolution not to jump on my white bed with muddy paws. Thankfully, there's a towel up there permanently at this point because, well, I'm losing that particular battle. Such is life.
Going to cut some of the leftover rice with cauliflower and freeze it up after I add some more chicken and whatever else I can find in the fridge. Might make some soup. Thing about letting people serve themselves - no shrimp or sausage left. It's all cool though. The flavor is there. I guess I could add some salmon. It was a little strange as there were no clams, mussels or scallops to be found this week. I went to three different stores, but not the fish market which is probably what I should have done. Hindsight, I guess.
Anyways, glad to move past 2022 and onto the next one. Hoping we get a couple days of rain and a couple days for it to soak in. Wishing you all a safe and happy 2023.
Caught this pretty thing outside in my yard yesterday, how I clean the burnt on bits in the pan, one of the two terrors for DP, and brekkie this morning.
Please notice the well placed dog hair waiting to jump into the food. SMH, can't win.
