Angel now requires us to weigh in every first training day of the month because apparently this summer, people are just not doing too well. One lady gained 8 pounds, then tried to have a banana nut bread muffin that I brought, and Angel took the muffins away from her.

I didn't do badly when she weighed me yesterday, on her scale and the one at Legends. 182.2. I felt like kicking up my legs LOL The lightest I've been in The Biggest Loser at my school was 181, so I've been doing okay with maintaining that. I'd love to set a goal to lose 10 pounds by the end of the summer, but I'm going to be vacationing for a week, and when I come back, Angel will be leaving for a week. July is going to be very challenging!

The bad thing about not working during the summer is that I'm not following a schedule where I can tell myself, "You can only have ___ and ____ to eat." No. I'm eating more often, and sometimes my choices aren't healthy. On the other hand, I do still drink an obscene amount of water -- that hasn't changed.

The good thing is that Angel's really determined to step up our workouts. The other day, she had me doing squats carrying a 50-pound weight on my back. She waited for me to complain, but I did 50 hack squats and only screamed when she came up from behind to grab one end of the weight bar to put it back -- unaware these are FREE weights, so the other end tilted down, and I screamed when I thought it was going to fall. I can run 4.5 at least 20 minutes on the treadmill now. She put me on 8.5 last week, and I ran while I screamed, "YOU'RE CRAZYYYYYY!!!" LOL That was fun.

Angel keeps an index card that lists down my measurements and weight since she started to keep track a year and a half ago. Since I started with her, I have decreased my waist by 4 inches, my chest my 5 inches, and weirdly enough, not too much change with my arms and thighs, but she says I've gained muscle. My body fat decreased as well. She looked like she was going to throw a party when she kept reading her card, comparing me then and now.

The Me now is light years away from the Me then. I hope I continue this journey to being healthier and stronger. I can't imagine being unhappy again.

I am so impressed. 4 inches around your waist is a lot! I think I need to get my measurements taken and not only rely on weight! I have only dieted in the summer (started about 3 weeks ago) and I try to plan my meals around the clock, breakfast before 10, lunch at 12, dinner at 17, I find that works for me because I can just look at the clock and it will tell me how long it is before I can eat again.

Taking your measurements really helps because sometimes your weight stays the same, but you lose inches! :)
