MixItUpBaby's Journal, 10 April 2015

Yesterday started out great - then I decided I wanted a Sprite (forgot to record it). Hubby decided that I needed Oreo's (I can't *not* eat them) and Whoppers.

So we sat and watched Vikings, and ate - all of it.

Yep.

And so it goes...

Hopefully tomorrow I'll be out on the lake on my kayak instead of on my way to Vegas to see my mom. Alzhiemer's sucks, but having her care facility's hospital screw up and send her to a loony bin rather than an outpatient care facility doesn't help things much.

She's not too out there, she's starting to show "sundowners" and needs more assistance than the 3 of us can give her; so we found a place, but it's 4 hours away. I forgot my celery today - but I have an apple and an orange! ;) Thanks for the prayers my new buddy. Have a FANTASTIC weekend, and stay out of storms.

Well its difficult but sweetie its for the best ... Ive seen and heard so many stories of people who had a parent that got lost and hurt because they were confused. Your doing the best thing for herand for yourself. I did eat celery last night with some spinach dip for a snack and in your honor I will again tonihjt lol

You have a lot on your plate--and I'm not talking about food. Alzheimer's definitely plays a role on it's own, but to have the added worry of the facilities messing up---you need to pat yourself on the back. You're doing really well for having to go through this. A "cheat" day sounded like one that was well needed. You'll get back to your own health routine, no doubt Once in a while you just need that comfort.
