Happy Thursday!

Trying to get back into the routine of things since returning from our Florida vacation. I made great plans for sticking with my new lifestyle while on vacation and for the most part I followed the plan. Thankfully, I returned with only a quarter of a pound gain. Unfortunately, I didn't have a plan in place for our return home. We had no fresh food in the house and I had no time to shop for the first 3 days. I made not great choices and was CRAVING SWEETS...not normal for me since starting this new lifestyle last summer.

Exercise was another challenge when I got home. I walked and walked and walked for 11 days while on vacation so my expectation was I'd be able to get right back on my elliptical when I got home and pick up where I left off exercising one hour per day...NOPE...the first day I was exhausted
after 30 minutes. I am now back to one hour, but I really have to push myself much harder than I did before. Does that make sense to anyone else? My head is just not in the game like it was before.

Today I'm making two cakes for grandson#13's cakewalk at school on Friday. Shouldn't be a problem - no chance I'd snitch a piece of the cake before it goes to the school. And then later I'm going to babysit for DS#6's kids. They will have pizza for dinner, so I'll need to plan something else for me.

Summing this all up...my head doesn't feel quite in the game like it did before vacation, but I'm still here. I'm still reading other's journal posts and they are encouraging. I'm still buying healthy foods and trying to plan healthy choices for myself. I'm still working out on my elliptical, even when I have to push myself. So my changes in my lifestyle are truly becoming a part of my foundation, and that makes me happy!
