Day 4 and things are good. My pedometer arrived yesterday and so far I really like it. It will be fun to see if I can walk 10,000 steps everyday! I think my commitment to only weigh every 2 weeks is a good one. I feel really good and if the scale isn't moving fast enough, I think I would get discouraged. It will be fun to see what I have lost after 14 days. I bet it will seem like a lot even if the weight loss is moderate. While it's great to have my husband as a weight loss buddy, I am really hoping he does great and better than me at the first 2 week weigh in. My plan is just low cal, healthy eating. He is on Atkins which he finds satisfying but is very repetitive. He is going to experiment with doing Atkins for two weeks, then low calorie for 2-3 weeks then back on Atkins again for another 2 weeks. My hope is that Atkins will help kill his carb cravings, and when he goes back on low calorie, he will be able to stay away from sugar and bad carbs. We'll see.
