well, I'm holding steady - I'm back to going to the gym and my muscle tone is starting to improve. I haven't weighed myself recently, but I'll try to remember tomorrow morning. I'm pretty sure I'm around 140 give or take. Moving home comes with certain dangers and while I've managed to keep my meat proportions reasonable and I have made a big effort to eat more fruit and vegetables.. all the easily available carbs have been sneaking back into my diet.... I hardly had any bread products the whole time I was up north, but its hard to resist a bagel when its in danger of going bad on the counter and there is yummy creamcheese. At least I've managed to replace the ice cream in the freezer with relatively healthy frozen yogurt and I bought some margerine. My mother is convinced that the low fat versions of any food are inherantly bad tasting... and while in some cases the fatty version does taste better, most low fat products that I buy taste great and I don't have to give up eating the rest of the day to have a taste. I'm hoping to lose about 5 to 8 pounds this summer so I start back to work in good shape. The never ending thesis is limiting me. I'd probably be out hiking and camping all the time if I wasn't trying to write....

Anywho... coming back here is just another good healthy step to achieving my health goals.

Glad to see you back! Sounds like you have a great plan to deal with the temptations at home. Maybe you'll change your Mom's mind about some healthier things!
