Trying to eat more raw fruits and veggies and cut out the carbs. Even though I am eating a lot of healthy carbs like beans and rice it seems to be holding me back.

honestly a great way to go... I recommend looking at the sugar and carb content in the fruits you're eating. For example Bananas are very high in sugars as are grapes and melons. All of these facts are counter productive which can cause the hold back you're referring to. Check out the glycemic index for more information if you're interested in what fruits and vegetables can assist you in achieving you're goals

Hi there Phyrnice thanks for commenting. I'll check out the glycemic index. The thing with the bananas is that it settles my stomach and helps me feel full. I did however pick up some really small 5 inch bananas so maybe that will help as well. I could also try eating only half a banana. Thanks again for your suggestions much appreciated.
