Small gain after a really hectic weekend, but back on track yesterday so no real harm done, will be at a loss by end of week. The weekend saw; work till 1pm, then raced into the city with my wife to see 'The Giants' an absolutely beautiful, stunning street 'Art' performance (we are currently having the Perth International Arts festival). It was a three day story played out through our city streets where by two giant (puppets) were washed ashore in different locations then searched to find each other, one an 11 metre tall diver' and the other a 7 metre tall 'little' girl - his niece. The show itself was fantastic but what was even more incredible was the effect that these two giant puppets had on the people who went to see it (estimated 1.4 million over the three days)it was a joyous occasion, touching, and the only way I can describe it was a contagious euphoria. Ive never experienced anything like it. Those that may have an interest in this international and world renown show can google Perth Giants and have a look. If it comes anywhere near you faithful reader, I urge you to go.
So Saturday night after the show (Valentines day) I took my Valentine out to dinner; my wife was very understanding (joke) fantastic seafood restaurant and really good night, Sunday we had a planned power outage most of the day at home so we planned to go out for the day, went to a 'home open' and put an offer on a house to buy and renovate, then went to lunch and a movie; saw American Sniper; what a great, great film, then shopping for some clothes as our three week holiday and cruise is only a couple of weeks away now, then later we took my son and his girlfriend out for dinner. So while I did eat and drink sensibly, it was a diet free weekend, but very enjoyable. head down bum up now; still 3 kilos I would like to get rid of before we fly out to Hong Kong on the 28th

I am going to google "The Giants" KS. It sounds amazing! You weekend sounded lovely. SO you and the missus are into buying and selling homes? If I were younger I would love to do that. Doubt I have the stamina to get in and remodel homes now. :) Good luck this week getting back on your plan. Your vacay sounds awesome!

Been to Brizzie (Aussie for Brisbane) a couple of time Bill for car auctions, it was there I tried my first mud crab, wasn't the last LOL. In the restaurant they asked me which crab I wanted out of this massive tank, then scooped it out and away to the kitchen. I felt a bit guilty for 30 seconds or so, it was amazing. Since then Ive 'fished' for them 'up north' and got some monsters. Sandy my wife and I have done up seven or eight houses, its a passion for us, we love doing it. there is something nice about taking something that's ugly and dated or misused and turning it into something lovely again. If only I could do that to myself LOL
