susan4animals's Journal, 16 February 2015

This is it. I'm not starting over again. It's medicine that is making you hungry. Get the better of it. You lost 156 lbs. You were hungry during that time, weren't you? Are you going to gain it all back? This is ridiculous. You can beat this. You have gained 15 lbs. on this medicine. Okay. That's enough. That's warrantable. Now, don't let it get out of hand. You are letting it eat at your mind. Just get back on track. Forget that junk food! You don't even like it any more. It's greasy and makes you feel bloated, besides guilty.

It's time for this to stop. Eat right and exercise and get back on track. The medicine is here to stay for awhile and you must live with it. You've faced worse. Remember the beginning all that time ago? That was hard! This is nothing! Now stop whining and overcome this craving! The doctor said this may happen and to be prepared. Buy healthy munchies he said. You thought you were above that. Ha! Now for carrots and celery and such! You will get back on board as of today!

What an amazing accomplishment to lose all that weight. Sorry the medicine is a problem, but I know you will overcome it. Little Engine That Could - I think I can, I think I can, I think I can...

I so sympathize with you. When I go on prednisone I gain 10 pounds every time at least no matter what I do. I will be cheering you!

Just read this journal again and again when you get cravings.

Prednisone is evil, I remember the first time I've been given, couldn't sleep for two days :) I think the best thing to do is to ride it out without beating yourself out.
