Wicked Step Monster's Journal, 23 May 2011

Since my food poisoning I was having a very difficult time eating. Then as the weekend approached I found myself completly burned out on my choices. I went to a buffet with my son, and I ate clean, however I was so bored. On Saturday I went to a poker game and I ate chips and various dips and then I came home and had a klondike bar. Well, to my surprise, I woke up on Sunday with a brand new resolve. I feel as excited as I did on my first day!

I believe that if this is a lifestyle change, then going 6 plus weeks, 100% and then having ONE day that I eat off program is truly a lifestyle way of eating. In the past, I would have let that one day sabotage my whole resolve. This time I see that "day" as a necessity.

I love eating low carb, I really do.

I hear that! In the past 10 days I had one day of a popeyes fried chicken setback and then last Sat I went though Jack in the Box 2am drivethru (had not eaten since lunch) and had a couple breakfast items. I won't like the chicken was GOOD (I'm going to work on a recipie for low carb friend chicken tenders) but the Jack in the Box was totally not satisfying so I KNoW my eating has changed... but it's hard not to be mad when u slip so bad but then... I figure I learn something any time that happens and back to the better eating. It's really not 'all or nothing', it's a continuous journey.
