JHarri31's Journal, 20 May 2011

I'm down over 25 lbs, which I think merits a journal entry. The weight loss is very apparent at this point and I've moved from not being able to fit into some clothes to having almost nothing in my wardrobe that isn't so big it's silly looking. The point of this post isn't back patting, it's to talk about how I made this progress. A lot of people ask me what the trick is, well, I guess after a year the answer is simply: There isn't one. I watch people screw around with weird diets, bust their hump working out every day for 3 weeks, and all sorts of other tricks, but none of it works in the long term. For me, I eat healthy at least 5 days a week, I count calories and try to stay around 1,500 a day, and I workout (gym or jog) at least 3 times a week. When I'm really good the weight comes off faster, when I'm not it comes off slower or I maintain. Over the long haul I've lost a ton, kept it off, have much more energy, and rarely feel like I'm suffering because of my diet. I hope this helps someone, because this feeling is something everyone should get to enjoy.
