Thursday night I watched the show "cosmos" with my mother, that night I went to bed and thought of what was keeping me from change. I knew that night, as I had always known...it was my own mind and thoughts and the patterns of unhealthy coping skills (binging on movies and pizza) with my loved ones.
I decided that I would begin to become healthier in that very moment; my co-worker told me that your sleep cycle is in 90 minute periods and you should wake up after one of the cycles, so I set my alarm to make sure I did and got a solid 7.5 hours of sleep and that my breakfast (just breakfast for now) would be "raw" as the raw diet I did during college was the best feeling I ever had though it was challenging.
The next morning I woke up sick as a dog...but I ate my raw breakfast and changed the background on my phone and laptop to motivational pictures of strong, fit women.
Though my weight is really up there I'm trying to be realistic-most people "yoyo" with weight and this is just part of my journey.
So, raw for breakfast it is- once I have that down I will move to raw for lunch as well (or almost totally raw...I need my cheese!)
