Back up again...Isn't this fun? hahahaha I got a great night sleep, put magnetic mask over my eyes and fell asleep listening to youtube. I was listening to different show a talking about melatonin and how it is more than a sleep aid. I didn't take any melatonin since they were reporting you naturally produce it, but light interupts this process. So that's why the mask. Typically I read on my phone, Twitter or watch Youtube late at night somes til 1 or 2 in the morning. Atfer wearing the mask over my eyes, I feel great! I hope you have a successful day! Praise God

I was just listening to Shawn Stevenson talk about how melatonin is a hormone and how taking it as a supplement messes up our receptors they start recognizing/using less & less. Helped explain my experience with it, waiting for his book to get to my library as I have def made quality sleep a real priority lately.

Yes, not to be over dosed, for sure. I an reading up on it. For me personally, I have to watch my nutrients closely since I may have a malabsorption problem. Not specific to melatonin, but other vitamins, i.e. B3 and others. B3 deficiency causes the 4 Ds - Dermatitis, Diarrhea, Dementia and Death. https://draxe.com/nutrition/niacin-side-effects/ Dr. Peter Osborne, the author of No Grain, No Pain has excellent Youtube videos on this

Anyway, the reason I deduce this for myself is the nonsensical health problems over 5 years. It's all elusive, until considering malabsorption. Reflecting over the past, I recall various anomalies, even 40 tears ago when I got a mysterious swallon ulcerated tongue that no western allopathic Dr could figure out. They did identify anemia, which would also be part of malabsorption. It's cool that you're readi g up on melatonin. "Chatting" on fat secret is all new to me. I appreciate your feedback is

That’s really interesting I will have to check out that book and will look for him on YouTube - thanks for sharing! I’ve had issues with deficiencies (Vit D, iron, magnesium, potassium) so that info could be really helpful. My MD does lab panels to see where things are at which has also been pretty helpful and I supplement based on the labs.

Yes, I’m enjoying FatSecret too- the last time I used it consistently there was no chat (it’s been a while lol) but I’m finding the community on here is pretty awesome!

Very cool remcarter. I just started tightening the belt with the grains and legumes again. I find I cannot digest the lactose or A1 milk or hard cheeses. Goat milk is okay but I will not get Meyenberg because it has folic acid added and I can't tell if it is synthetic or not. If folic acid is synthetic, it can cause problems as if there is a deficiency in this vitamin B9. So I steer clear of all fortified products, and Dr Peter Osborne says ALL breads and cereals are fortified by law.
