Had a rough weekend. Went to my fiance's cousin's wedding about an hour and a half away from where we live, out in the country. I was really expecting it to be a lovely, relaxing weekend, but I ended up helping decorate the barn all day Friday and most of the day on Saturday because no one was prepared for this weekend. I feel bad saying this but it was probably the trashiest event I have ever been to. The bride drank three full bottles of wine before her ceremony even started, so immediately following the ceremony (at 6pm), she got alcohol poisoning, threw up all night and then passed out until midnight when she got her "second wind." She was then able to do all the fun wedding stuff (first dance, cake cutting, entertaining guests, etc). Mind you, this was an hour and a half after we had left. I can only imagine there weren't many people left. I'm sorry, but I find it incredibly rude that after having everyone work SO hard to make your day perfect for you, you get so hammered that you can't even be coherent on the happiest day of your life? If I had know this was how the weekend was going to play out, I would have saved my money and just stayed home.

On a completely different note, I have a new weight loss strategy. I joined a "Diet Bet" last night. What you do is you put in $25 and over the course of four weeks you have to lose 4% of your body weight (6lbs for me). If you succeed, you and the other winners split the pot, and if you lose, you lose and don't get anything. I joined a pretty popular one with these sisters that I follow on Facebook/Instagram, and right now there are over 500 people competing, and the pot is up to $15,000. The worst case scenario is that even if everyone completes the goal, you just get your $25 back. But if you think about it, if half of the people competing lose, you just doubled your money. I'm really thinking that if there is money involved, I will definitely be much more strict with my diet, which is something that I definitely need. Also, my coworker (the one who has lost 105lbs) is doing it as well. She has to lose 8 pounds in 4 weeks, and it would definitely be embarrassing for me to not make my goal, especially since I have less weight to lose than she does. If anything, it definitely wouldnt hurt anything!

Hope everyone is having a great day!

My friend does did a similar "diet bet" at a gym, you paid the membership fee and if you lost 5% you got half your $ back, 10% and got it all back...money is a great incentive for those who need a push....sorry your weekend wasn't fun, I know the feeling....

I never understood the whole "take a picture of yourself on the scale" How do you get the weight and show its you on the scale for the before and after? I should probably just go to the site and check it out tonight because work has it blocked. lol Knowing me I will forget and never look.

Lol well you need to take a picture of yourself on the scale, and then a second picture of just the scale, with a secret code word that they give you written on an index card. If you really think about it though, there are many many ways to cheat. But I promised myself I wouldn't haha.
