It's been almost a month since I've actually weighed myself. Since then I've

-Gone on a cruise, which I probably ate too much and too richly on, but I did exercise each day.

-Tried really hard that next week to loose some more, and I'm pretty sure I did, even though I had no way to tell since I didn't weigh.

-Taken a sort-of break. At least, I've been too lenient on myself, and have eaten more junk food lately, and moved less than I have in months.

Let me tell you, this past week or so I have felt like utter CRAP because I haven't been exercising. Headaches, lack of sleep, head cold, just lower energy overall. I think all the stress has put me in a slight depression, and I just don't FEEL right. I am going to the gym tonight. I need those damn endorphins! Haha. You can really tell how much good exercising really does you when you stop doing it for a while.

I talked with Mark last night. I told him after any of the junk food that's in there now is gone, we're not getting any more. So he better enjoy the last bits of it. I told him I can't have it around because I don't want to gain any weight back, and that I'm worried about his health, and that he needs to loose some weight too. He agreed! He pouted a little, and said he will miss the junk food, but will probably be happier about loosing weight and feeling better.

Don't take me as shallow, lol. I'm not. Actually before him, I dated mostly chubby guys. He has really put on at least 20lbs in the 10 months we've been together, which worries me. I don't want him to have any health problems. And he does NOT carry extra weight well. He doesn't gain it anywhere except his midsection. He still has nice arms and little chicken legs. His middle is just all.. soft.. now. Lol. I'm sorry... but man-boobs are not sexy... Lol.

I guess part of it is it feels a little unfair that I've been working harder to improve myself and he's been letting himself go. Is that mean? I feel bad now.

I don't think avoiding junk is an absolute necessity, but getting it out of the house is huge. I still eat junk every once in awhile, but I have to make some effort and go somewhere else to get it instead of just having it around at all times.

I agree, I would rather save the junk for times like eating out w/ friends or family, where will power is more likely to fly out the window anyway. Haha. I don't believe in depriving yourself too much, because then it just sets you up for faultering more often. It's damn near impossible to eat healthy 100% of the time anyway, which in my opinion is why so many people fail when they try to shed weight. Moderation is key... and when it's in the house, it's easier for me (and him) to ignore moderation. Lol.

its not mean, I feel the way about my family (my mom particularly), and when feel that way, I think I am a terrible person. My fiance says its natural, especially when I have worked so hard. Its different because you're in a relationship with him, so its more personal. But I can totally understand how you feel about potentially gaining the weight, and you see him/people around you just letting everything go. It instills a very mixed emotion in you. Thank god he agreed, though lol I have told my brother to stop eating so much junk and it caused a lot of tension between us. No one need all that drama, especially when we're trying to stay on track. haha

Lol. Yeah. My sister and parents eat junk food all the time. My sister is naturally thin without even trying, but I constantly tell her it will catch up with her, and that she's still causing damage on the inside, even if it's not showing on the outside. I don't remember the last time I saw my dad eat a vegetable other than potato in fried form. Lol.

Potatoes in fried form? What about potatoes in mashed form with a stick of butter? That's healthier, right? I can't remember where I heard this from, but I remember something about the highest two consumed vegetables in the US were potatoes in the form of fries and tomatoes in the form of ketchup. Seriously? People count ketchup as a vegetable? *smacks head*

"but man-boobs are not sexy" .... Hey! We prefer you use the word 'pecs' when you refer to man-boobs. It makes it sound better. lol

Lol. Yeah, ketchup is so NOT a veggie! And he used to have pecs. They are no longer pecs. Lol.
