How do you find chickpea pasta as a pasta replacement? Is it grainy?

Wondering same as ACBelle. I tried it, just wondering what you thought?

I like it, but I also cook the pasta in the sauce in the instant pot. This is not my fancy pasta prep. I saved that for real cooking days

@ACBelle. Yes it can be grainy or mushy. Have to get used to it and cook a little aldente. banza is the best so far. Costco has a fresh linguine made from Cauliflower that is phenomenal!

I made califlower rice once. Hubs was not on board. What's the Costco brand, is it Kirkland? I still have to count it as carb.

I have the chickpea pasta from Costco and haven't yet warmed to the texture/graininess. Might have to try cooking longer in the sauce or using for Mac'n'Cheese 🤔

FWIW, the best was making it from scratch. The Banza is good enough. I don’t really like the Barilla version.

You make chickpea pasta from scratch?

Yup. Ground chickpea flour and some semolina, olive oil and an egg. Found the recipe online. Worked great. I made fettuccine noodles but I think angel hair would be good, too.

ACBell- its taste republic cauliflower linguini. Its made from cauliflower flour. You can google the company. Looks like they have other products and sell in other stores but Costco is most likely the cheapest. Im impressed with it.

Kathy, it's been awhile since I've made pasta from scratch. It's definitely a holiday meal plan. Is the method same as regular pasta? I'll check online for recipes. My pasta always came out pretty dense. Not confident about doing angel hair. Ravioli is more my speed. Have you frozen a batch?
