Nervous about this week. I am going to my sister in laws. They like to eat... And I do mean some real good down home cooking... I might have to make a grocery trip with her so I can get some salad and stuff I usually eat here. Oh boy... True test of my changes. It's easy to do at home, when I can control everything, but what about somewhere else?

Any advice??

Yes, portion control. You can have what they eat but watch your portions. If they have a veggies, fill up the plate with those first. Take a palm size of meat. Pasta and starches keep to a minimum. Go shopping with your sister in law and grab some salad bags so you can have some at dinner. Offer to fix a meal for them. Pick up fruit and snack on that. Walk as much as possible. If you can come home the same weight you go, your doing great.

I would feel nervous as well. Although when I work people bring in things that I choose not to have. But I still have control over what I take in because I bring my own. Suzi161 seems to really know what she is talking about (and Thank you). I will keep my fingers crossed for you. But I do know one thing you cant feel guilty about any of the choices you make or you could wind up with some self defeating behaviors. You could look at more like a learning experience. But you have a great attitude and remember to have fun.

So far so good. Portion control is a great idea. First thing this morning we had waffles! hahaha. Haven't had those in a long time. =) Thanks guys.
