My fiancé and I decided to do 30 days no alcohol. So far just over 2 weeks and we both notice a big difference! Not only do our bodies feel better, but our check when we go out to eat is much less! Restaurants make a lot on booze. We didn't drink a LOT but at least a couple times a week, usually socially. Hoping this turns into a longer term choice for us both. I was never really a big drinker but seeing now that I don't need the empty calories nor the bloat, and I can save some pocket change. :) I'm finding unsweetened iced tea is my go to, sometimes adding in some berries, or water with lemon.

I went for a dry January and here I am 6 months later with no alcohol. I feel like I don't even want it at this point! Good for you!

Best thing about drinking on a diet is you always come in 3-5 lbs lighter the next day... then it sux for the rest of week

Thank you for all the kind comments everyone. Some days are easier than others, but most of the time I don't miss it at all. I'm hoping it sticks LOL it seems to help my weight loss as well. I like hearing your stories as well, so thank you for sharing, and for the support!

Wow! That’s impressive! Even if you aren’t a big drinker, giving something up that you enjoyed a couple times / week is a big deal so congratulations to you both!!!
