Got back to school after break, and had a few days of "break" from dieting. I didn't eat *super* terribly, but I most certainly wasn't counting calories, and the once or twice I went to the gym, it was so packed I could hardly find a machine, let alone be allowed to stay on it for a couple hours...

But one way or another, they're all kind of excuses. I'm getting back on track - though I still don't quite have the time to make it to the gym (I have a TON of papers due this week; I literally can't spare the time), but I've been counting calories again, and I'm being very careful to stay below 1400. I need to get back into the good habits - like avoiding the ice cream area of the dining hall.

At one point, I kinda scared myself. I stepped on my scale, just to see exactly what kind of damage had been done, after eating, and while wearing clothes... and I was in the upper 190s. Oh good GAWD did that scare me... I never ever ever want to be that heavy again. Hell, I never want to be *this* heavy again, I just need to lose this weight before 185 can scare me.

A while ago, I thought I might be able to hit my goal by Valentines. In order to do that, I knew it required losing 2lbs/week, but regardless, I kinda brushed it off. It's been tough for me to keep up with all this now that my weight loss study is over. I no longer have the accountability that went along with that. I asked my boyfriend to fill in for that. In his calendar is a reminder on Sundays to get my food list, and to talk to me about it. Last week was supposed to be the first week, but I kinda botched the weekend (he made enchiladas! I couldn't help myself!), so we're gonna try again this week. So far, I'm rocking an 1291 average, and I'd like to keep it that low.

I graduate in May. I'd like to be at my goal weight by then, if not a little lower. That would require a steady weight loss. I *can* do it. I've done all the right things before, I can certainly do them again. Once the weather stops sucking, I am going to start running again. That way, I can avoid the gym to some degree.

This will be my graduation present to myself. Go me.
