Ceebee's Journal, 31 January 2011

Man did I blow it yesterday at my niece's birthday. There were a ton of snacks (chips and nuts and a veggie tray) then they ordered pizza.. I would like to say that I had a reasonable amount of pizza.. but I did not I way over ate. Now I have terrible heart burn. :P I probably did ok on the snacks and things. I had probably a serving of nuts and a serving of chips. (as apposed to just parking it by them and eating till it was gone) I was eating the veggie tray and I ate a piece of broccoli and that piece was rotten (it was one of those plastic container store bought ones).. like the top was mush and i did not even notice while I was shoveling it into my mouth.. dude I nearly puked.. then I did not want to go back to the veggie tray ever. I have never trusted those things. It is funny I have always felt that they are way over priced and have inferior veggies in them, and maybe not even really "clean".. well today all of my fears were rewarded with a mouth full of rotted broccoli. Just thinking about it makes me want to gag. So yeah.. feeling bad about my pig out yesterday. Gonna have a better day today. I have got to learn to deal with social eating. I do alot of it and I am gonna go crazy if I dont get a handle on it.

We had a birthday party weekend too and I made the same mistakes (minus the rotting broccoli - ew). Join me in regrouping...? Social eating/drinking is my Waterloo as well... I'd be fine if I lived all alone in a cabin in the woods. Cept I'd be bored. ;-)

ewww gross!! when I buy veggie trays I always go to the deli and have them make me fresh ones, but I am usually buying for 20 people so it just makes more sense, it is a bit more but I know my veggies will be fresh as they take them right out of the produce bins. I had pizza the other day and I had such wicked heart burn I do not think I will be eating it again for a while, the discomfort just isn't worth it!

yeah.. I Need to focus on the pizza misery.. At home I just dont eat it hardly ever. So when the kids and husband want eat pizza I just make something else for myself. I do like the kashi pizza.. but that is probably because when I eat those I eat more thoughtfully and dont over eat and then suffer from the burn. :P Sometimes I wonder if I wasn't a bedouin goat in my last life. :\

I usually just stay right away from pizza because no matter what kind it is I find I will just eat and eat and eat and then whine because I have heartburn and my stomache hurts lol

We get ours with whole wheat crust which I'm sure doesn't affect the calories really but at least makes them a bit more nutritious. and they are thin-crust which I like to believe is less carb... I love pizza and unfortunately have no unpleasant side effects (except significant weight gain) to show for it. I also have wondered if I was a large dog or wolf or goat or something in a previous life, even when I was a skinny little kid I could eat like a grown up. ;-)
