Hey guys, scale still moving in the right direction. However I'm getting slightly concerned... Looking back at what I've eaten over the last few days, I feel like I'm either compensating for the fact Ryan is up the weekend or I'm on the verge of crash dieting. I don't get it because I don't feel overly hungry and my cravings are under control. The only thing that worries me is that I'm probably losing muscle and water rather than fat and with all the working out I've been doing I really don't want to be losing muscle. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm honestly just eating when I'm hungry but making sure that I actually am hungry before I do. I don't want to be eating a diet that's unsustainable I just want to eat healthily :/ thanks for reading guys x

I think we all go through hunger cycles. Some weeks we are really hungry and and others (not so much). Make sure you are getting enough protein (helps maintain muscle) and a balance of good carbs (fruits and veggies) to help fuel your workouts. You can always add a protein shake if you are concerned with losing muscle. Having company can add stress to our normal routine. You might also try smaller more frequent meals with some protein at each meal.

Thanks :) I do drink protein shakes but only on days that I work out. I think I may need to incorporate more of it into my diet. Definitely need to up the iron too because my breathing has gotten quite bad again and I'm even paler than usual :P

Sometimes when we are not eating enough our bodies adapt to that and compensate for it. Its actually what anorexia means, loss of appetite. It is very important to make sure youre eating enough, not just to keep the metabolism up but to ensure youre getting enough vital nutrients. My advice would be to start adding in a decent sized breakfast with complex carbs, protein and some fats. That ought to get you going :-)

Oh dear, that worries me a bit. I'll definitely try harder to eat a bit more. Yeah I've been getting a bit worried that I'm missing out on nutrients. Thanks I will try all this and see how I go :)

My nutritionist say to try and eat little meals about every two to three hours so that your body doesn't go into the starvation mode. It can be an apple slices with peanut butter on it. I have to be careful cuz if I don't eat enough my body tells me cuz I get the shakes and feel sick to my stomach but according to blood work I don't have low blood sugar. Can't figure it out.
