MelodyC's Journal, 10 February 2009

The last couple of days I feel I have worked my butt off the gym as well as housework and running around. I am seeing a decrease in my weight. Average about a pound a week. Which I hear is at a good rate. But it seems it is taking forever for me to get into the 40's. I have seen it once before. I believe it was on my way up to the 70's. lol But I have good feelings about this whole thing this time. I have never worked out in the gym as hard as I have this time. Maybe others work out harder than I. But I really do push myself as much as possible. Until I am ready to drop. I average about 35 minutes on the elliptical (cardio). But lately I been doing 45 minutes, sometimes 60. Depends on how much energy I have. But I never do less than a half hour. I try to get in at least a half hour of weights & crunches (with weight). But other days I do an hour and travel around to the different areas. Today I went in an was ready to rock & roll, turned on my music and the battery was dead. I almost got depressed. It's amazing how much music can have an affect on my work out. At any rate, I realized that my cell phone also has an mp3 on it and I had about 10 songs on there. So I plugged in my headphones to that and made it really well through my cardio. And even through my weight set. So the day was not lost. But I have to say my feet were aching on the elliptical. I got new shoes last week. They are fairly good shoes. But after a few times the souls felt really hard. I bought heal gels (forget the actual name) and those worked great. However, they only went half way up the foot, so the balls of my feet and toes were still hurting. I bought these other things that protect those areas. But they just aren't working out real well. My feet and toes go to sleep after about 20 minutes. It really affects my cardio cause my right calf starts hurting really bad. I do stretch before each work out. But I think it is because my foot is asleep I tend to walk/elliptical on it differently than normal. Who knows.

At any rate I am happy with my weightloss. I'll be happy when I can see a number I haven't seen in a while. lol

Later Taters,
Mel
