Breaking News:
Don't eat sugar. sugar was once a drug, back in 1900's. They did not find an immediate threat consuming it. So it was made legal. But after a century, we are all addicted to it with diabetes, cancer and a hell load of diseases troubling the whole world.

Nice to meet you Jerald and thanks for being my buddie. There are many things in this world which we eat or drink and can be classed as dangerous but we still do it. Even other non food things are highly dangerous like driving a car or crossing the road but we still do it. The real trick is to be able to do this things in what is generally known as "moderation". There is sugar in many different foods and we can not avoid eating them if we are to stay healthy so the only sugar we can really avoid with a determined effort is in foods or drinks that we do not really need. Adding sugar to a hot drink can be avoided but is the drink still to our liking. In my case it is as I never take sugar in tea or coffee. The fact is we need to enjoy life and even with sugar we can achieve that enjoyment but the danger is in over indulging just as with all things. For example, fish and chips with mushy peas can be enjoyed by everyone now and again but if we had this meal every day we would suffer and regret it. I take you post for sugar and I understand what it is you are really saying just a little warning about sugar in general. Nice to meet you sir.
