Hello all!
First of all, I just thought I'd say that I have no excuse for not being on FS for so long; I just stopped feeling motivated and wanting to lose weight. Instead, I just didn't care and ate whatever I wanted.
Anyhow, I know that's no way to live, but I'm trying to overcome it now. My lunches have been consistently very good, it's just when I get home that I want to throw caution to the wind and eat whatever I like; obviously, this isn't conducive to weight loss/healthy living, and thus here I am.
My new year's resolution from last year has been kept! This is the first time I've ever made one and actually done it. I gave up soda for a year, but the thing is that I didn't start until January 8, 2013. So, I'm still waiting an additional 8 days after the new year. That's fine with me, though! I'm excited to have soda again: I've never been one for full-sugar sodas, because I was always raised with diet ones. So, they weren't ever a huge caloric stumbling block, but I know that the artificial sweeteners are just as bad as real sugar.
Anyhow, my new goals are as follows: ~run at least 2x a week ~lose 20 pounds by the time I go to NY (March 14) ~love my smile
The first two are pretty straight-forward, but the last one is a little different; I've always been pretty self-conscious about my smile. When I was younger, it was yellow and there were huge gaps between my teeth. They're less gap-y, but I'm still self-conscious about them, so I'm going to work to do what I need to to love my smile.
Anyhow, I'm glad to be back! I'm not sure what day I'll be weighing in on; I doubt every day, but one never knows. Once I pick one, you'll know!
