I know doughnut is not a good healthy breakfast but I am emotionally wrecked and needed some comfort food. Already smacking myself for it and wishing I could take back the last hour. :(

Replace with pb and j. This gives you the carbs and sugar but also protein and healthy fat. Strawberry jam is a whole lot less sugar than a doughnut. Is this a comfort food you can turn to?
