Starladesiree's Journal, 22 December 2008

Okay, I don't get this. I've lost 12lbs... Yet, I feel MORE insecure NOW than I did 12lbs ago. What the hell? I don't get it.

Saw the professional pics of my sister's wedding. Wow. The difference is crazy. I looked so lumpy. I put the dress on a while ago to see how it fits now and it was too big. When I wore it for the wedding I had to buy a waist cincher in order to wear it.

There were some absolutely precious pictures of my sister and her hubby though. So sweet. I love the way couples look at each other on their wedding day.

I might change my goal weight to 135lbs or 130lbs. Depending how I look and feel at 140. I still have a significant amount of pudge I want gone. My trouble spot is my back. I hate the way it looks when my bra strap digs into the skin/fat on my back. It's disgusting. I'd still like to slim down my thighs too but they're already mostly muscle... so I doubt they'd go down too much.

I think you might have the same issue that i had the first time i lost weight. Its kind of like BDD (body dysmorphic disorder) you become so critical of yourself and you have this image of how you SHOULD look or WANT to look that you dont accept how you DO look. Try to stick within whatever is a healthy range for your height. Make sure to take pictures of yourself now. I will tell you when i was 130lbs i still focused on the pudge under my belly button and the fact that my thighs were big. No mind that my thighs were all muscle and actually looked good. I look at pics now and wish i wouldve enjoyed how i looked back then. I have the back fat thing too. its SOOOOO annoying. remember that the number on the scale isnt really as important as how you look and feel so maybe keep trying to lose till your body looks closest to what you know you can get to healthly

Thank you so much! And I agree with the person above me... I'm glad I took pictures of myself at 140 lbs and then took some pictures of me recently in the same clothes at 130 lbs, that was the only way I could really see the difference. I can't see much of a difference just looking at myself in the mirror, but the pictures showed me how much I'd lost! :)
