For all you skeptics of Intuitive eating out there, I think my chart speaks for itself! Until I started this, I couldn't even get under my starting weight(of course my real starting weight when I first started dieting was much higher, 175! but I have been stuck where I am a good while). I am actually losing faster than I even want to, considering I just bought new jeans..
I love this! I am eating whatever I want, full-fat cheese, premium ice cream, eggs, milk, hamburgers, brownies, and all the same meals I make for my family, most of which are far from low fat. I leave food on my plate a lot because I become satisfied mid meal. I eat with the intent of satisfying the hunger, not being stuffed or even full. It takes commitment, but it's nothing like dieting. I'm working with my body instead of against. I no longer believe I have to trick my body to get it to lose weight. It's ever so much more enjoyable to eat when your body wants to rather than when your diet tells you to. My body wanted to lose weight all along, I was just feeding it more than it wanted!
I know not everyone is ready to do intuitive eating it is a huge leap of faith, going against everything you see in the media and everything your parents taught you(food is money, clean your plate, eat ALL your vegetables or no dessert). But if you ever hit diet bottom, the moment you can no longer take another diet, I invite you to join me.
Well, so far so good. I am not a "natural" at this yet, I still have diety thoughts like wondering about or trying to guess calories, or worrying if I took a couple bites too many. And I haven't chunked my scale yet like I am supposed to! I feel anxious even thinking about quitting weighing. Well, I want to eventually, or at least cut down to once a week.

Go you! What you're doing is incredible. It's basically the Okinawan hara hachi bu. You are doing fantastically!

Result! I am very envious. Still very much stuck in diet thinking and need to take that leap of faith but don't feel I can trust myself. Ultimately aiming to get to where you are now and reading this has given me an added incentive to keep working towards that goal. Thank you and well done.
