My stomach hurts so bad and I got no sleep last night. I woke up and fiddled around on the internet all night and then I was awoken early this morning by a friend who told me to check facebook. Apparently another friend of mine was contemplating suicide, and this poor fellow just bought a house down the street from me, we are really the only people we know in the new area... So I got on the phone with him while I went over to his house and I calmed him down which was frightening. I know this doesn't have much to do with food, but the stress of dealing with that situation has really gotten to me. I called his sister (who I've never met) and she came over and took him to hospital, I let him know that I would watch his dog.

The whole situation made me sick, nauseous, and rather melancholy. He was talking nonsense when I got there, he didn't make a lick of sense and I felt so bad for the guy. I felt almost helpless in the situation and if I hadn't been able to calm him down I may have witnessed something very tragic. Seeing him that way made me feel very lonely, and the way that he talked about the pointless nature of life rang true with my philosophies as well. I really hope he is ok.

I'm normally a eat-your-feelings type of lady, but I have no appetite today. I came home and made a salad, it was hard to eat.
