Shrinking Sonya's Journal, 15 October 2010

Well I can honestly say I'm back to my old healthy self! I've been counting calories every day, and I'm really hoping for a good weigh-in this week since I gained 2 last week. The sweet thing that has really helped is that my husband is on board this time! He has gained 40 lbs since we got together and needs to get down to 220 which is his healthy weight (he's a tall guy and 220 looks perfect on him!). What is a little frustrating is that it seems so much easier for him! He ate all the same fair food as me last week, yet he lost 4 lbs. I'm glad he's doing well, but it stinks knowing I'm stricter on my diet and exercising, but he's losing it more quickly. Oh well, I'm just thankful he's starting to care about calories and what we eat. When we first started dating my diet struggled BADLY because he ate like a horse and I kinda went right along with him because it felt embarrassing to tell him I was dieting. Now we're peas in a pod and he knows what I'm working toward and he especially appreciates how happy I am when I'm accomplishing my goals. I was the happiest I'd ever been when I was down to my lowest (288) right before I got pregnant, and he's glad I'm coasting back toward that place, though he has no CLUE how much I weigh haha. I'm very transparent with my hubby, but telling him my weight just isn't an option for me right now. When I get down to a weight that I feel is less embarrassing, I WILL tell him my weight and I WILL tell him the weight I used to be. I want him to know the details of what I've accomplished when I've accomplished it! Does anyone else feel this way about being open with their weight?
