Good Thursday morning everyone!!!

I decided to do an unofficial weight to day.....Yay me!!! 277.5!!! I go visit the Doc. tomorrow for the official weight.
Right now I'm down 3 1/2 pounds!! I had two good calorie days over 1200 calories, and four bad days of under 1200 calories. This is my battle it seems, to make that magic number of 1200!!

I've not done too bad with the carbs. Only 2 days over 150 grams. My Protein and Fats have been sort of running neck and neck. I had an awesome steamed Tilapia dinner last night, with half a steamed vidalia onion, and 8 steamed grape tomatoes. A cup of salad with fresh salsa on top. The fish was seasoned with Webers herb seasoning blend, and topped with pineapple habanero sauce. And it was less calories than of a 2.9 ounce piece of pepperoni!! Lunch: 406, Supper: 224!

I really love counting calories now. But the big difference in yesterdays lunch vs. supper?
Lunch: 37.70 g fat 17.40 g protein
Supper: 2.63 g fat, 28.98 g carbs, 21.56 g protein.

There are loads of proponents for the low fat low carb diet, and for the low carb high protein/ fat diet, and for the just lower your calories and increase your exercise diet.

Me, I'm just muddling along, trying not overindulge in anything!! I chose to lower my carbs, because they were a big part of what was in my cupboards, and I never ate a lot of bread. The bread in my house is for the hubby's lunch. No...I would eat 5 maybe 6 ounces of pepperoni, and equal that in cheese for a snack. I would eat a small bowl full of Cheez-its, or potato chips. I would make rigatoni for supper, and eat at least 2 to 2 1/2 cups for one serving!! I would eat almost as much if not more than my husband would. THAT is one of my problems. Portion size!!

Well, I just had a huge revelation by joining this site. How to measure portions. Also, how many calories were really in what I ate. I haven't really changed my exercise habits, which right at this time is almost non-existent. I lowered my carbs, in turn lowering my calories. I now count those calories, and fight to get above 1200. I set my calories at 18000, instead of the 2300 that the site set me at. That 2300 gave me too much room to cheat.

My whole deal is, to be honest with yourself. Tell yourself that losing this weight is a life or death situation, and to treat it as such, Because it is.

When I quit smoking, I had to go cold turkey, because the crutch helpers, the patch, gum and prescription pills (wellbutrin) didn't work. I had emphysema and I caused it myself. I smoked a lot. 2 1/2 packs a day. I knew what the disease was, and I knew there was no cure. It just gets worse, never better. It is a degenerative disease., and quitting smoking was going to give me a good 20 more years.

Losing this weight is in the same category. It isn't a disease per se. but it does cause a whole lot of problems, and can cause weight related diabetes, cellulitis, high blood pressure, the list can go on.
Being this much overweight is a killer situation.

I'm treating this like I did when I quit smoking. I have to change my way of eating. And I have to come clean, not kid myself, and no cheating. I have to put down EVERYTHING I eat. Honestly. I will stop what I am doing, and grab my phone, or my kindle, and enter a food on my diary.

What you see on my food diary is EXACTLY WHAT I ATE THAT DAY!! I am here for me, and to help me. If I can help someone else, by posting these long journals, or by someone reading what I ate that day, AWESOME!!

I came here, to get support, from people who are battling just like me. And I will give support to whoever needs it!! I will not criticise anyones choice of diet. I will applaud everyones weight loss!!!

Now, to quit with all the blabbing, and to get to other things I need to do today.
