mrsjohnson0317's Journal, 23 September 2008

I took a long hard look in the mirror this weekend and realized that Weight Watchers is just not working. In the three weeks that I have been counting points, I have not lost a single pound.

Starting next Monday 9/29/09 I will be starting South Beach again. It was only because of sheer laziness that I did not go back to it and now I see I need to for so many reasons.

My test results came back absolutely normal. I am healthy as healthy can be and I can only hope that it will be the change in birth control and eating habits that will make me feel better.

I am sharing this with you all as a way to stay strong and continue on my journey of self-discovery and to find my inner thinner gal!

Have a happy diet and see you next week :)

Untill then,

I'm just curious knowing the wonders that WW has done for me. Did you do the core plan or flex? If flex, did you calculate your daily points target from the WW quiz... eat or not eat the optional flex points? I know that US WW without the flex points is very low calorie... too low in my mind, hence why I've always eaten my flex points. I believe the WW core plan is very similar to South Beach though, although I haven't tried "officially" myself, but try to base my diet core foods. I wish you every success with South Beach though and sure you'll get lots of tips for that one! Hee-hee... love the choccie cake piccy! :o)

I am glad to hear that you are healthy and things are "normal" whatever the heck that is...(I'm always trying to figure it out). I feel your frustration, but I think I may have broke through whatever has been causing me grief on the WW points plan...CARBS. I really have to watch them along with the points. I try to stay below 150g per day. Sometimes I make it, sometimes I don't, but I am aware of them. We will find out for sure when I weigh in tonight! In the meantime...do what you need to do..and good luck :>).

I had the same thoughts as MoonLite as I read yr journal, i dont know the flex points, but when I did the quiz, Im suppose to eat 33 points + and that was when I was 2 st lighter, I would be the size of a house if I ate that amount of points daily, I stick to 16 to 24 on my good days, Good luck on yr new diet, hope you get the loss you want and deserveXXx

Glad your test results came back with good news! You have to find a plan that works for you. You're doing the right thing by moving onto something else if what you're doing isn't working. Good luck! :)

Carmel8sons... just thought I'd mention that US WW plan has 35 optional extra flex points on top the daily points target. This is confusing for anyone doing either the UK and Australian plan - as they don't have any optional 'extra' flex points. There are also different quizzes for US and UK/Australian WW just to confuse everyone here!! You'd think they'd make it a bit simpler and just have an international plan... but no!! The food diary though uses US WW points, so it's good to be aware them... otherwise you could be eating far too low points by just going by the US points in the food diary. Lower carbs though whatever the "diet" definitely seem to help... I know I lowered my carbs, upped protein and moderated my fat intake a bit. I forgot to mention previously though that I'm glad your test results came back normal. You take care and wish you lots of good luck! :o)
