cocobutt's Journal, 05 October 2010

Going to the doc today for a routine checkup. I wonder if I'll still be in the obese category. I'm sure she'll tell me to continue losing weight. It will be interesting to see my BP and cholesterol levels post-menopause.

10:50am Well, I have to go back for the blood work. I should've known not to eat anything, but they didn't mention it when I made the appt. I'm suspicious of everything they tell me I need to do. Bone density scan? If I have that done, I don't care -- I'm not going to take Boniva. I don't want to be given a handful of prescriptions. I'm going to continue with my healthy eating plan and heal myself.

The best thing for bone density is milk - if you can tolerate it. I'm sure your tests will be fine.

Thanks, buddies! :) Rune, I eat a good bit of yogurt rather than milk. Lactose-free milk is tolerable in small amounts.
