I have recently quit smoking and finding it hard to not eat all the time. I have gain weight :( which is the opposite that I want happening. I want a healthier life and it is becoming hard to do when I can't stay on track with my food consumption! I need to stay more constant with my exercise and find food that I can eat without going over my 20 net carbs a day! Feeling defeated atm.

Hi, How long have you been following Atkins? Have you read the book "A new Atkins for a new you?" You should be eating at least 15 net carbs in vegetables alone and I don't see them in your entries. I see, too many Atkins products, which can for some people stall weight loss and uses up too many of the carbs you should be getting from whole foods. I also see Broccoli Cheese Soup? Atkins limits you to 3 oz of hard cheese a day at best. Can you try eating whole foods? begin at breakfast with veggies in an omelet, or any meat and veggies, and continue throughout day eating whole foods, not processed ones. I also don't see water. are you drinking at least 8 glasses a day? Sugar Free lifesavers would totally stall me. try having something natural that is on the allowed list of foods. your salad at dinner was ok, but I don't see 4 oz of protein. And I didn't see lunch at all. You are not doing Atkins as Atkins recommends. I hope you will consider starting over and following the plan as it was written. I began again the correct whole foods way in April and have lost 38 pds, and 35 inches. I did it the wrong way a year ago and ended up giving up, and losing a year of good health. I hope this does not happen to you. You can do this the correct way. When you eat the whole food way with recommended veggies,protein and fat, cravings will end and you'll begin to feel great! i am thinking i have not read that book. Is that the newer one? I had a friend download me a book but not sure which one. I try to get up early enough to make food but to many time's I sleep till the last min. I didn't realize that veg, need to be 15 of my net carb's guess i'm back to the drawing board. but that does explain why i'm still hungry. Thank you for your input. :)
