Breakfast was a banana and a slice of soya and linseed bread.

Lunch houmous, spinich, red pepper and red onion sandwich

Dinner wholewheat pasta with pesto, some vegetables roasted with spanish herbs and a spinich avacado feta and sweetcorn salad.

still eating more than my guidline amount of bread but i'm trying to cut that down aiming to do 20mins of excercise once the family has gone to bed so i can do it in peace.


fell down at the last hurdle today and craved sugar and ended up eating jelly babies

You had a great breakfast and lunch today! Good job. yes, carbs and sugars are my downfall also. Once I started counting calories, I now try to stay away from pasta, rice, and restaurant breads. No worries about the jelly babies. It could have been worse. Make sure to get your exercise in. good luck

i wish i could stay away from pasta and rice but being a vegetarian means that they tend to end up being a staple in my diet. ah well maybe i'll gain this week but there's always a gain before a good loss!

At least you are using whole grain pasta. I use brown rice when I eat it, but sometimes I substitute whole oats (not the flaky stuff) and when cooked it's nice and chewy like rice, but lower calories. If you're exercising and eating healthy foods and keeping your portions in control, I don't see why you would have a gain!

amryk i will have to try that, everytime i check my weight this week i seem to be going up more and more
