With the recent achievement that the United States of America is now the heaviest nation in the world.....I want to encourage others to make a lifestyle change!

For me, loosing weight is a matter of mind. Better yet, mind over matter; where it breaks down to burning more calories then I take in. Far more easier said then done! However, not impossible. By tracking my intake, it has been eye opening to see the calorie value of foods I regulary eat! I can literally eat what I want, but I have to stop taking in calories once I have reached my RDI. To do that, I limit portion size. Fruits and vegitables are free, so I try to fill up on that. Having said that, I believe that a person can loose weight without excersie if they are discipline enough to limit their calorie intake. Excercise only speeds up the burning of calories which is always good! The bottom line is this....being healthy is a lifestyle! The rollar coaster of gain and loose is not healthy! A person can truly live on 2000 calories a day! Most of us are accoustomed to eating that for breakfast! We need to seriously consider what goes in our mouth and focus on being healthy! The benefits of good health far outweighs being overweight! Jillian Michaels put it best by saying, "If it don't come from the ground or have a mom or a dad, don't eat it!"
