26 Days

That is how many days I have until my Spartan race. 26 days to get completely prepared. I have have over 100 and I still feel as though I am not ready.

I had friends from MFP compete in one on the weekend, they all did great with only one not finishing due to a health issue, I have seen photos of some of the obstables and I am a little nervous due to the rope climing. I have never been good at things like that and if I fail an obstacle I have to do burpees 30 of them to be exact for every obstacle not completed.

My friends that did it ended up with times ranging from 2hours and 40 minutes to 2 hours and 30 minutes so I am aiming for 3 hours... hopefully I can do this and not die. I really really want this medal to prove to a few people that I CAN do this.

Its funny how fast time has flown by when I signed up at the end of January it was as if it wasn't really happening because I had 100 and some odd days before it got here butn ow... now I am sitting at 26 days and I am starting to panic a little, I think I should find a play ground in my neighborhood and take advantage of at least the monkey bars - I know they wont have climbing ropes outside but the monkey bars could come in handy.... oy vey what have I gotten myself into?

26 days till mine too! BUT, it's not a spartan. Just get out there and do stuff. Go do the monkey bars and just do something every day. I put myself on a very strict exercise schedule for mine and mine is wimpy compared to yours. LOL. YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!! Who cares how long it takes you as long as you FINISH. Do your swimming in the morning and then do something else that will help you with the different obstacles. I'm working on upper body strength because I have NONE and I saw my obstacles and lots of them have to do with pulling myself up and stuff...so maybe try something like that? (I'm just trying to help)

Yeah... by the looks of it majority of the spartan is the same way - lots of climbing and shit. I have decent upper body strength to start with but the whole rope thing scares me... also.... the walls.. there is a foot wall... a 4 foot wall.. a 5 foot wall and something like a 7 foot wall... I am hoping my sprint is a little different than the one in NY but I am doubting it will be too much different.
