It's been a rough couple of weeks. Dealing with putting Kandy to sleep two weeks ago. Realizing just how much time and effort we were putting into keeping her going. All the feelings and emotions that drift around it all.

Haven't worked out in those 2 weeks either. I've done something to my left knee. It hurts to bend it. Once it is straight, I do fine but bending it makes it feel like something is in it. Getting up or sitting down is painful. I was hoping that resting it would make it get better but so far it has remained the same. Bummer. I miss my workouts. My weight has been bouncing around from 175 to 178. I am happy to be maintaining. My diet has been askew as well. I have allowed carbs to increase for several days. I have enjoyed eating them but know I have to be cautious with them. They get me in trouble quickly.

The husband had MRI this week on his knee and it shows a torn meniscus. He goes to see the surgeon March 12. Nothing happens quickly. He has been in misery; hard time walking and sleeping; and cranky! He also has a colonoscopy this week. JOY.

We have spent most of this week cleaning up a huge oak tree we had cut down. Hauled off many loads of tree limbs and made many loads of split firewood. Been running the wood splitter for three days. THAT is a lot of work. I think I've done a thousand squats picking up firewood and chunking it into the trailer and then stacking it in the barn.

My cardiologist cancelled my appt for this week and rescheduled it for the end of April! I guess if I can wait that long it is a good sign. So I've decided I will restart my program again except this time I will break it down into smaller goals and time increments. Last time 6 weeks was too far out and I didn't stay focused. I believe my body and mind have been adjusting to my new normal. 176-177 has been where it has stayed for a couple of months. Don't know if I can or will lose any more weight, but I will give it a try.
