Well, it seems I am FINALLY on the way back down the scale! =) Woo Hoo! I attribute this to losing the mindset of "I must lose weight!", "I must NOT have sugar...", "I must not have white refined foods!". I was creating a mind block for myself. The more I thought that way, the more I wanted these things! I have shifted my way of thinking to just "eat what is necessary, I am learning to be a healthy person". I am also realizing that I already have self discipline, I just need to utilize it.
I bought myself Dr. Phil's audio version of his book "The Ultimate Weight Solution". I am SO GLAD I did! I started listening to it yesterday while working out at the gym! I plan to keep listening to it each day I work out. There's 6 hours worth of information on his CDs!
According to Dr. Phil, the best way to attain our ideal weight is to change our world around us, to be supportive of us. i.e. surround myself with friends that support my weight loss goals, only buy healthy food and only keep healthy food in the house, nothing should be in the cubbards that won't give me the results I want. When I go shopping for groceries, don't make it a long shopping trip, keep it short and to the point. Make time for exercise as part of my daily activities, just as I would for work, making dinner, watching tv, etc.
He has 7 keys to success. In order to be truely successful, I need to acheive one key at a time, and in order. I can't wait!
For some reason, everything Dr. Phil said makes sense to me. It's all about positive thinking, positive actions, and positive results. Dr. Phil phrases everything in such a way that actually makes it seem plausible and possible for me to reach my ideal weight.
I just need to keep working on not allowing the negative thoughts and focus on the positive thoughts.
