Weight Watchers has worked for me in the past. I lose the weight and then the Smeagal voice in my head says "you don't need to write down what you eat...you are immune to calories" and then....lo and behold...I gain back what I lost plus some.
My weight gain is usually triggered by something emotionally significant in my life....but at 35 years old I should know by now that I need to write down what I eat to keep myself in check.
I also have a major boredom eating problem....if I sit down at home I want to be shoving something into my face. And for the last several years sitting is the activity I do most often.
