eddowning1's Journal, 19 November 2019

I just made a purchase this last week that has set me on a path that makes a whole lot of more sense to me. I've been fighting to get my BMI down as it says I'm overweight.
I've literally rode my bike 1000's of miles since spring. I've been extremely attuned to what I've eaten during that time. I just needed more information.

So last week I started using a Renpho Body fat scale. "Bioelectrical impedance analysis" has been added to traditional bathroom scales. The scales send a harmless electrical current up through your body to "read" the amount of fat body mass and lean body mass -- calculating your percentage of body fat."

Now everything makes sense, I guess I should have figured it out myself. I'm posting several screens that show the main screen, my body fat percentage and muscle mass. Then a picture of my son Eric and I.

My muscle mass is very high due to the size of my legs from riding. BMI just doesn't work accurately for me :)

What a lovely pic! So goal oriented. Glad you figured out a new and better way to measure progress. :)

Great picture. BMI does not work for everyone.

I have the same scale and love it. However be sure it’s not on athlete mode. I tried it once and it added muscle and took away fat. Wasn’t accurate at all for me. I’m not sure if it would be for you or not. 😉
