+ & -

+/Yay for losing 2 real pounds since the beginning of this week. (3 if you count losing the one I gained from my emotional binge Monday night)
+/ A couple nights ago my bff introduced me to myfitnesspal.com which is a lot like fatsecret.com but just a different lay out, I like it because it tells me how many calories I need to eat if I am aiming to lose 2 lbs a week.
+/- Yesterday I was able to live with feeling hungry here and there (OMG it is so hard for me to not have something to eat before bed but I lived with it and just had a glass of water)
-/ I didn’t get to the gym like was planning on this morning, I haven’t been all week! I need to get in 10 more visits which is basically every other day.
-/ The reason I didn’t get to the gym was because about 3am I woke up with a horrendous muscle cramp in my calf. I used to get them a lot a few years ago and I really hope I can stop them. They are terrible they make me curse at the ceiling and even scream bloody murder. I talked to my Dad who is big on nutrition, I knew it wasn’t dehydration because I drank more water than I normally drink yesterday, So he said it was probably sodium and Potassium so I picked up a couple bananas and a couple Gatorade G2’s today and hopefully that does the trick I didn’t get back to sleep for an hour and a half and it is still sore. I wonder if the muscle cramps have to do with my weight that is the same leg as foot that has been really sore lately too and I am pretty sure that is due to my everyday shoes not being so great but overall I am carrying around a 100+ pounds that my feet don’t need.

You'll definitely need to invest in some good shoes (like around $100) if you're going to keep working out. Especially when you're as heavy as we are, we HAVE to buy good quality shoes. Go to The Running Room in Maple Grove, they'll do a gait analysis & recommend the best shoes for you. Your knees & back will thank you!!!

oh I have good work out shoes! They just aren't the shoes I walk around in every day though. I tend to wear converse or some merrells or other non supportive shoes to work and walking around town but for working out I wear some comfy asics :) And yeah my family is full of marathon runners so I end up tagging along to running stores a lot. Just feel so out of place there though. that is cool to know about the analysis though i had no idea.
