Sandy701's Journal, 15 March 2013

Thanks to everyone who wrote on my journal yesterday. As of today.....no emails, no calls to the boss's office, so we're safe from a move for the weekend. LOL!

The last couple days have been just beautiful....clear blue sky and temps in the 60's. If only that stiff wind that brings the clear skies would subside, it would be perfect!

Grilled out steaks last night and found that we've finally rusted through the bottom of the charcoal grill. Bummer. With the uber-humidity of Florida and the grill's 3-year age, what can we expect? I checked out a few today, but not finding the large grill surface with a nice attached side table. We'll keep looking.

DH is buying some tomato plants to get into the ground this weekend. He cleared the space last night and I gave him a list of the varieties available when I shopped this morning. In our neck of the woods, now is prime time to get the tomatoes into the ground so they can be harvested before the summer heat really ramps up in June. After that, there's really no point in having any tomato plants...production is just about zero.

The adjustments I've made in my WOE continue to go well. The later night pork rinds, however, might be adding a bit too much salt and creating a bit of water retention in the AM, so I may have to cut down to half a bag and/or eliminate them altogether on some nights. I will say that my reduced carbs have done away with a LOT of my hunger, even with reduced calories. THIS is the way I'm supposed to feel on low carb! Not saying I'm NEVER hungry, but that nearly-all-the-time, low-level hunger seems to have been reduced and I'm happy about that.

Lots of errands this morning, so I took advantage of being near the gym and did an elliptical routine instead of walking. DH will have to take the doggies later tonight....OR...they'll just have to wait until tomorrow morning.

Hey there Bren. After all the commotion at your place the other day, it's no wonder you "forgot" to eat! I consider those times just a big bonus! Hope your wind dies down for the weekend....should be a great one here....hope it extends on up your way too. :)

HAHA, is that last post a joke? Sounds like one of those poor spammers from Nigeria! Anyways, Hopefully you won't have to move, what part of the world are you in? I'm in Georgia, we had winds and rain, now pretty today. So glad you got that hunger under controll, amazing how low carb works so well for some!!! Keep up the great work, hope you get good news sooner than later!
