100% It was a great couple weeks. These were the first two weeks of Alex joining me in being strictly paleo/primal. (Unfortunately, he's losing weight, which is not what we want.) It really helped to have him with me all the way - it makes it easier to avoid quasi primal but not-so-great-for-fat-loss things like almond pancakes and whatnot. There was some nut consumption but it was very controlled (by Alex, who literally hid the nuts from me).

I've been sleeping terribly for these two weeks. I'm going to try picking up some magnesium supplement, "Natural Calm" and see if that helps.

Digestion has been kind of meh. Trying to not think about it that much. Oh, interestingly, I found a study on fiber being counterproductive for relieving constipation. So now I'm reevaluating that whole stuff-as-much-fiber-into-my-diet-as-humanly-possible strategy. I'm out of chia seeds and not planning on buying more. Basically I've been eating tons of veggies every day: that's my focus.

Working out has been great. Started a new workout with sprints one day a week and new weight lifting exercises like bench squats, free weight bench, incline bench, eccentric hamstring curls, and eccentric tricep curls. Sprinting was difficult but mostly because of the cold (resulting in a runny nose and brain freeze for at least 15 minutes). Next time, I'll bring a tissue and maybe a hat.

Kind of timidly did my first go at intermittent fasting when Alex was away last weekend. Didn't eat after dinner on Friday night until 2 or 3 pm the next day. It got drawn out longer than I meant to because I got into an intense conversation with my mother, so by the end I was like: must eat now! But generally it was pretty good and something I could definitely see myself doing on the weekends, although I don't know if something as mild as 16/8 would be remotely effective on a once-a-week basis. I also tend to be pretty wiped out on the weekends - especially Sunday, and so I wonder how getting even less fuel will effect that.
