I have been terrible about self discipline this last week. I know I have been eating foods that I need to think of as "off limits". I need to start concentrating on believing that "off limits" foods means OFF LIMITS! I make too many exceptions for myself because I don't want to deprive myself, which I finally realized stems from my childhood. I need to work on self discipline.
I'm not giving up, though. Today is a new day.

That's right! Keep on trudging through.. one day at a time, you will start realizing that it isn't deprivation as much as it is alternating thoughts... have the zucchini noodles with spagetti sauce instead of regular noodles and enjoy! :) It's just realizing, understanding and remembering that there are a ton of good food that you CAN have and need to plan to have them available until it becomes "habit". We are creatures of habit and changing or retraining them, is NOT easy. As a dental hygienist... I am continually trying to show & tell people how and why they 'need' to floss, but changing peoples habits, even if for their own good is NOT easy. It takes time and persuance and they must WANT the change for the right reason, and everyone has a different reason. Look to your light and your reason, why do you want to change, and think of that the next time you wish or think you "deserve" to cheat and ask yourself, is this against what I really want or is it okay to have a bite? You are strong, you are a mother and a beautiful woman who can DO whatever you want... you can do it! xoxo
