Alwayspretty's Journal, 02 March 2013

Had a super lazy day. Slept in...well, until 8, when my hub said we should go out for breakfast (a Saturday treat for us). I really wanted BACON (the only necessary meat on earth), but I passed sticking with plain oatmeal and toast. Ah, but the toast. This little old-fashioned cafe has homemade toast, and I'm sorry, but I cannot pass that up! YUM-ME!
Since breakfast was full of carbs, I had 2 hard boiled eggs for snack. Got hungry at about 3, so that was actually a really long time, since breakfast.
Supper, a different story. We didn't want to cook....like I said, lazy day. So we made frozen pizza. Could have looked hard for something else......
But, I still have the "urge" to eat healthier, so tomorrow, we will hit the grocery and buy some decent stuff!
Sweet dreams, everyone....

Ya know what's great about your day today? #1 you got to go out for breakfast with your hubby! And...you made a healthy a breakfast choice. (I had oatmeal too) Even the pizza tonight - you still are aware and have the desire to continue. That's key. We went out for dinner tonight and I really had to talk myself into choosing healthy. Wasn't so fun at the time...but sure feels good right now knowing I didn't totally blow my day out of the water. Stumble forward Sistah! Love you. K

Good morning. Today is going to be a really good day. No matter what - you have the freedom to make good choices. You can keep thoughts of that pretty dress, Alex's wedding, lessened pain in your joints, and overall better health foremost in your mind. We all have it in us to think good thoughts rather than thoughts that get us down. There are days I have to physically look in the bathroom mirror at myself and tell myself to stop the negativity and say out loud a positive affirmation. I know...it will feel silly...but no one is watching and it really helps. Do what helps you best today. I plan to grocery shop for healthy foods - no unhealthy foods will go into my cart. I am looking at the Mediterranean Diet and shopping from that. Am actually excited about it. I am keeping you in my prayers and supporting you with positive thoughts of 'yes Lisa....you CAN lose weight...and will". Love you, K
